Harold Guy Hunt (1933–2009) was Alabama Governor 1987-1993 — the first Republican AL Governor since Reconstruction. Removed from office April 22 1993 after conviction on ethics violations (using campaign + inaugural funds for personal expenses). Probate judge of Cullman County before politics. Pardoned by AL Bd of Pardons 1997.
